The short version: Some links on this site may be affiliate links. If you book through one, this site may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. The price you pay is the same, and it never decides what I recommend.

What is an affiliate link?

An affiliate link is a special tracking link to a booking website. If you click it and make a booking within the period the booking site allows, that site may pay a commission for the referral. You pay the normal price. The commission comes from the booking site, not from you.

Booking platforms this site links to

Links to the following platforms may be affiliate links, now or in the future:

PlatformWhat I link to
Booking.comHotels and apartments (may be tracked through the CJ Affiliate network)
AgodaHotels, especially in Asia
KlookAttraction tickets, theme parks, rail passes, eSIMs and airport transfers
GetYourGuideTours, skip-the-line tickets and day trips

This site is independent. It is not owned by, endorsed by or officially connected to any of these companies, apart from any affiliate programs it takes part in. All trademarks belong to their owners.

How I choose what to recommend

  1. FirstIs it worth the money?

Recommendations are based on value, location, recent traveler reviews and flexibility, not on commission.

  2. ThenWhere is it cheapest?

When the same tour or hotel is on several platforms, I show them side by side so you can choose.

  3. AlwaysWhat are the drawbacks?

Every tour includes who should skip it. Cheaper alternatives are included when they make more sense.

Please check before you book: Prices, availability and cancellation terms are set by the booking platform and change often. Prices on this site show the month they were checked. Always confirm the final details on the booking page.

How affiliate links are labeled

  • Every guide that may contain affiliate links has a disclosure note at the top.
  • Booking buttons and price-comparison boxes link to the booking platforms named on them.
  • Affiliate links are marked as sponsored links for search engines.

Advertising

This site may also show ads served by Google AdSense. Ads are clearly labeled "Advertisement" and are chosen by Google, not by me. See the privacy policy for how ad cookies work.

Questions

Do I pay more if I use your link?

No. The price is exactly the same as going to the booking site directly.

Do you only recommend things that pay a commission?

No. Free sights, public transport and places with no booking link are recommended just as often, because a good trip needs them.

Who should I contact about a booking?

Bookings, payments, changes and refunds are handled by the booking platform you used. Please contact their customer support directly.
